Udinese striker Cyril Thereau admits he’d “love to sign for my beloved Olympique Marseille.”

He turns 33 on Sunday and the French forward has been playing in Italy since 2010, first for Chievo and then Udinese.

“If Olympique Marseille were to call, I’d come running whenever they wanted,” he told RMC in France.

“I could’ve been there a while back, now I’m practically 33 and it will become more of a complicated move.

“Watching their recent games is painful, but it would be an absolute dream for me to play for Marseille. They just need to call me…

“I have a two-year contract with Udinese, but I am at my peak and can easily play on to 36 or 37. Although there is no link now, I’d love to end my career at my beloved Marseille.”

Thereau has scored 10 Serie A goals so far this season.
