Massimo Moratti said Suning Group officials “made a good impression,” but is unclear on his future at Inter if there is a sale.

The Moratti family hosted a lengthy dinner last night involving 11 members of the Suning Group, President Erick Thohir, CFO Michael Bolingbroke and more top level officials.

It remains to be seen whether the Chinese investors intend to buy 20 per cent of Thohir’s shares or all of them.

“The dinner with the Suning Commerce Group directors was friendly and a chance to get to know the Chinese businessmen,” Moratti told news agency Ansa.

“They made a good impression on me and are good people at a high level. I don’t know anything about developments in negotiations between Thohir and the Chinese group.

“What is my position at Inter? Ah, who knows… We’ll see what they do first and then we’ll see.”
