The full-back spoke to TMW Radio in Italy and discussed this weekend’s Premier League Italian Derby with Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City.

“It’s an incredible fairy-tale, as nobody expected this could happen at the start of the season, but now they are close to the finish line it can only be pleasing for all Italians.

“However, Manchester United want to play our game and delay their party by another round. We want to win in front of our fans.”

Next season Conte will be another Italian Coach in the Premier League, taking over at Chelsea.

“He can do well, as I know how much passion and determination he puts into his work,” continued Darmian.

“He has tactical ideas that can deliver results in England too.”

Before then, Conte has to oversee Italy’s Euro 2016 adventure in France.

“We hope to do our best and go as far as possible. The first objective is to get through the group stage, then after that anything could happen.”
