Former UEFA President Michel Platini's ban from all football is upheld, although reduced from six to four years.

The 60-year-old was involved in the corruption scandal that rocked football in 2015 and was banned from the sport for eight years, later slashed to six.

Platini's appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport was successful in getting him a further reduction, cutting his ban from six years to four.

However it did not overturn the ban completely, meaning the Frenchman has to give up for good on a position within the UEFA executive.

In spite of his role in expanding the European international tournament from 16 to 24 teams, Platini will not be present at Euro 2016, held in his own French homeland.
