Giuseppe Rossi's future between Fiorentina and Levante is uncertain, but must be decided within 30 days.

The striker was loaned over to the Liga after recovering from injury, as he was struggling to find playing time under Viola Coach Paolo Sousa. While his performances were insufficient to win him a spot at Euro 2016, he did notch six goals for himself, showing that he can still be decisive.

In his current deal, the Spaniards have a purchase clause of €6m, but their transfer market situation is compromised as the club was relegated this year. It seems highly unlikely they'll take Pepito down to the second division, meaning he probably will not stay with them.

At the same time, Sousa's disagreements with Rossi suggest Fiorentina are not looking forward to reuniting the two.

One possible solution would see Levante paying the clause and then selling the player to a third party.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the player's former club Villareal may have an interest, but there is nothing concrete at the moment.

In any case the situation would have to be resolved by June 10, by which date Levante have to send the player back to Italy.

Rossi's agent Andrea Pastorello already had meetings with the two clubs involved, but a deal is being delayed as both teams are reforming their board of directors. Fiorentina in particular are choosing whether to keep sporting director Daniele Prade or replace him with Pantaleo Corvino, and they are unlikely to come to any conclusions before then.
