The Canarini are already relegated, while the Partenopei need a victory to be sure of second place and automatic Champions League access.

“We will go out at the Stadio San Paolo trying to honour the jersey, for us and for the many fans who are following us to Naples,” said the Coach.

“We’ll try to put in a strong performance in an important arena. We want to do well. We have to give our best. We are facing a side that has played the best football in Italy this year, with excellent individuals who also play for the team.

“Napoli have had a fantastic season and the only reason they didn’t win the Scudetto was Juventus being simply incredible.

“We were relegated last week and I certainly don’t have the same enthusiasm, but I am not wiped out or empty. I am just disappointed.

“We could’ve had six or seven more points from our games against Palermo, Milan and Sassuolo, so with those we’d have been safe. Certain things didn’t go our way and we didn’t have much luck with referees either.”

Ex-striker Stellone is no stranger to the San Paolo, as he played for Napoli from 1999 to 2003.

“I had four wonderful years at Napoli, but also disappointment with injuries. This city helped me grow as a man and a player,” continued the 38-year-old.

“I don’t know what kind of a welcome I’ll receive from the fans, but I am very fond of Napoli still and continue to cheer on all my old clubs.”

Having taken Frosinone to their first ever promotion into Serie A, will Stellone remain or walk away this summer?

“After this weekend I’ll talk to the President and we’ll make a decision. I’ve read a lot of things in the papers that aren’t true.

“We need to evaluate many aspects and we’ll have a Press conference when all is decided.”

Goalkeeper Francesco Bardi is in the squad, despite a muscular injury against Sassuolo, while Danilo Soddimo and Luca Paganini are not 100 per cent fit.

Stellone has already named his starting XI in the Press conference: Zappino; M. Ciofani, Russo, Blanchard, Crivello; Frara, Gori, Sammarco, Kragl; D. Ciofani, Dionisi
