“We prepared for this match in the best possible way and it is no time for experiments,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Let everyone remember, we must try to honour this great player, but also the League, and we must do it in the best manner.

“Depending on how the game is going, we’ll decide how long Di Natale plays. What interests me is that the player is in the right condition to play.

“The only way to truly celebrate these players is to get a result tomorrow, honouring our season and our fans.

“I remember when I arrived there was scepticism over our chances of safety. Some thought it was impossible, yet we achieved it with one round to spare and always maintained a comfortable distance from the danger zone.

“I saw a team up to the task, other than on one occasion, so I always felt certain we could reach our target. We cannot play football assuming everything will be smooth sailing.

“I do not feel angry at that result (the 5-1 home defeat to Torino) and don’t believe that one incident can change an extremely positive journey.

“What I feel is great jot at achieving the objective asked of me, to have known some good lads in the squad who I built a good rapport with.”

Did any of the Udinese players let De Canio down?

“No, everyone gave their best in every training session. There might’ve been a few moments of friction, but we overcame them.”

Di Natale is back in the squad after an ankle injury, but Molla Wague, Thomas Heurtaux and suspended Zdravko Kuzmanovic miss out.
