Coach Luciano Spalletti, ahead of playing Egyptian club Al Ahly, says Roma have no secret strategy: 'We have strong players, that's all'.

The Giallorossi will face the Cairo team tomorrow evening at 19:00 GMT, and the Tuscan Coach joined Mohamed Salah for a Press conference ahead of the friendly.

“I'd like to thank the organisers for setting up this event,” Spalletti told the Press. “It gives us the opportunity of learning from another type of football and finding out about [Coach] Martin Jol's tactics, as well as [Hossam] Ghali's quality as a player.

“We're certain that these confrontations will let us grow and learn new things. We're ready for the quality of Al Ahly.

“We're short of a few players as they left for the international games, but we have Salah, and he said he'd take care of it. He practically dragged us here for this friendly.”

Spalletti was then asked how he'd managed to transform Roma, after taking the reins of the team in the midst of a results crisis.

“I don't know. We just worked seriously and honestly. I was given a squad composed of strong players and they're the ones who make the difference.

“My job is to create order, but it's the quality of the players that matters, and Roma have that. I tried placing them where they could do their best and good results followed.”
