Udinese have officially appointed ex-Sassuolo chief Nereo Bonato as their new director of sport.
Bonato has been picked to lead the club’s transfer strategy and vast scouting network.
He has signed a two-year contract with the Friuli outfit.
Bonato was at Sassuolo from 2010 to 2015, helping the tiny club to its first ever Serie A campaign.
He will replace Cristiano Giaretta at the Dacia Arena.
