Real Madrid can buy Morata back for €30m this summer, a move the striker admitted was his “desire” just two days ago, but Alves’ imminent switch to the Bianconeri has seemingly made the Spaniard reconsider his options.

“I think it would be important to know where I’ll play before the Euros, but I’m calm because I have a contract with one of the best clubs in the world,” he was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

“The [Juve] fans love me, so there’s no hurry. The stories about my repurchase [clause] have tired me.

“I can’t think about what Real will do. They wouldn’t send me to a club against my will. Now I’m waiting for an agreement with Juventus.

“I’d like to have [Alves] as a teammate, that’s clear. We met on holiday once and he’s always treated me well, despite the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona, and I appreciate that.

“Dani Alves is one of the best [players] in the world.”
