Aston Villa will reportedly poach Inter fitness coach Massimiliano Marchesi as new boss Roberto Di Matteo shapes up his backroom team.
According to the Express and Star, Marchesi – who dubs himself ‘Sheikh of the Muscles’ on his official website – is set to join up with Di Matteo at Villa Park, the latter having signed a two-year contract with the relegated Premier League club.

According to the Express and Star, Marchesi – who dubs himself ‘Sheikh of the Muscles’ on his official website – is set to join up with Di Matteo at Villa Park, the latter having signed a two-year contract with the relegated Premier League club.
Marchesi was previously employed by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Al Gharafa, before returning to Italy as part of Roberto Mancini’s Inter reappointment two years ago.
Villa, meanwhile, are awaiting Dr Tony Xia’s £75m takeover to be ratified by the Premier League and Football League.
