President James Pallotta explained Roma’s Financial Fair Play situation, insisting “we are in good shape.”

The transfer rumours around the club this summer are largely fuelled by their failure to meet UEFA FFP parameters, but Pallotta claims this has been misinterpreted.

“We haven’t had issues with that. All the Financial Fair Play issues and the cash-flow problems are from before we took over the club,” Pallotta told reporters at the airport in Rome.

“Over the last few years, on a cash-flow basis, we’ve been fine and we’ve been profitable, there have been no issues.

“We have to do some dealing with the Financial Fair Play, but we’re in good shape.”

So Roma don’t need to raise €30m this summer?
