The Argentine striker played for the club from 2005 to 2009 and Tyc Sports claim a proposal was made by President Daniel Angelici to return.
The main point would be to have Palacio there for just one month in the Copa Libertadores.
However, the same report notes La Trenza turned them down.
Palacio recent signed a new contract tying him to Inter until June 2017.
