The Azzurri won 1-0 at the 88th minute thanks to Eder’s curling finish from the edge of the box.

“I think that we played extraordinarily well,” striker Guidetti told ItaSportPress in Toulouse.

“We closed Italy down in the first half and didn’t let them get past our midfield. It was a perfect first half performance with 60 per cent possession, so we were only missing a goal.

“Italy were just lucky, as they never had a shot on goal and still won, but this is football.”

Sweden have statistically not had a single shot on target in Euro 2016, netting against the Republic of Ireland only thanks to an own goal.

“Now with these exceptional fans we will try to beat Belgium and secure qualification in the final game.”
