“As we’ve said many times, Bologna are not a club who need to sell, but rather a team that is trying to grow,” director of sport Riccardo Bigon told Sky Sport Italia.

“We will listen to offers if they are important, but we’ll see in a few weeks whether or not to really consider them. The player is important to us and should be treated as such.”

Bologna have been linked with a summer swoop for Fiorentina-owned Giuseppe Rossi.

“So far this transfer session there has been a lot of idle chatter, but the real moves will be seen later on.

“Diawara is not a player we need to sell.”
