Zenit St Petersburg striker and Roma target Axel Witsel admits 'Italian football fascinates me', though Milan's interest is 'a thing of the past'.
The 27-year-old's confident performance during Belgium's 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland confirmed his quality to the eyes of his Serie A suitors.
“Russia was a nice adventure, but it's time for me to change,” he admitted after the game. “I don't know whether I'll go to the Premier League or to Serie A.
“Italian football fascinates me and at 27 it would be the right move. Milan had looked for me, it's true, but that's a story from a long time ago.
“Now the only thing I'm thinking of is Euro 2016. The next step is to beat Sweden. [Romelu] Lukaku unblocked himself and so did the whole team.”
