Alessandro Florenzi recorded Italy's fastest sprint in Euro 2016 so far, but he is very far off from record-holder Kingsley Coman of France.

UEFA have been recording the speed reached by the continent's footballers in their quickest dashes in the tournament.

It turns out that jack-of-all-trades Florenzi, who came on as a central midfielder against Belgium and started as a left winger against Sweden, was the fastest Azzurro so far.

He was clocked at 30.7km/h, which beats Antonio Candreva's 30.1km/h and Eder's 29.9km/h.

However the figure is not enough for Florenzi to make it even in the tournament's top ten fastest dashers, which is dominated by France's Kingsley Coman and his 32.8km/h sprint.

The Frenchman is followed by Hungary's Richard Guzmics, at 31.6km/h, and Iceland's Kolbeinn Sightorsson, at 31.5km/h.

Gareth Bale does not make it into the top ten either, in spite of his personal record outside of Euro 2016 verified by separate sources at 36.9km/h.
