There are reports Milan will announce their Coach for next season on July 1, with Marco Giampaolo the favourite.
The Rossoneri sacked Sinisa Mihajlovic in April to make way for Cristian Brocchi, who was promoted from the Primavera youth team job.
Although President Silvio Berlusconi was adamant Brocchi would remain, it’s increasingly likely that ex-Empoli boss Giampaolo will be appointed.
He met with CEO Adriano Galliani last week and a representative from the Chinese consortium in takeover talks for Milan.
According to Sport Mediaset and La Repubblica, the name of Milan’s Coach will be announced on July 1.
There is no guarantee that the takeover will be complete by then, as there have been delays.
President Berlusconi is currently in hospital after heart surgery to replace an aortic valve.
