Reports have been changing over the past few days as to what players would represent the Azzurri tonight at 20:00 UK time, with suggestions that almost all starters would be rested later amended to include Leonardo Bonucci.

Currently most sources agree on Italy's expected starting eleven, with only two points of contention.

La Gazzetta dello Sport insists that Bonucci will be fielded, whilst the likes of Eurosport and IlSussidiario.net claim that Ogbonna will still get a shot as a starter.

Eurosport believe that Stephan El Shaarawy will start on the left, but most sources claim that Federico Bernardeschi has won the duel for the wing.

Those two positions aside, all sources are in agreement over what Conte's Italy will look like. Salvatore Sirigu will temporarily replace Gianluigi Buffon in goal, and Matteo Darmian will take Giorgio Chiellini's role in defence alongside Andrea Barzagli.

Thiago Motta, Alessandro Florenzi and Stefano Sturaro are in the middle of the midfield, while Mattia De Sciglio is certain to start on the right as Antonio Candreva rests off muscular fatigue.

Simone Zaza and Ciro Immobile will both be given a chance to impress against the Irish.

Italy probable XI: Sirigu; Barzagli, Bonucci, Darmian; De Sciglio, Florenzi, Sturaro, Thiago Motta, Bernardeschi; Zaza, Immobile.
