There are reports West Bromwich Albion have won the race to sign Palermo star Franco Vazquez.
His preference was known to be Milan, but Palermo confirmed negotiations were being held up by the club’s takeover talks.
According to Calcionews24.com, West Brom are very close to agreeing terms with both the Sicilians and the player.
It’s expected to be sealed by June 30 for approximately €18m, although Palermo had wanted closer to €25m.
The 27-year-old Italian-Argentine support striker scored eight goals and provided six assists in 36 Serie A games this season.
