Adriano Galliani believes Milan “have made a good choice” in appointing Vincenzo Montella.
The former Fiorentina Coach has officially been appointed as Cristian Brocchi’s replacement, and will start work on July 1.
“We start again with Montella,” joint-CEO Galliani told MilanNews outside the club’s headquarters.
“There’s a lot of satisfaction, we believe we’ve made a good choice. Let’s hope it goes well.
"When did we come up with the idea of Montella? I don't remember, I haven't eaten all day..."
Montella has signed a two-year contract with the Rossoneri, believed to be worth around €2.3m per season.
He becomes the club’s fourth permanent Coach since Massimiliano Allegri was sacked in January 2014, with Clarence Seedorf, Filippo Inzaghi, Sinisa Mihajlovic and Brocchi all proving unsuccessful.
