The results of Daniele De Rossi's medical exams will be published today, revealing whether he can take part in Italy-Germany.

The Roman defensive midfielder picked up a knock just above his right knee in the game against Spain and was compelled to leave the pitch in the second half.

The player underwent some medical tests yesterday to see whether he can recover in time for Saturday's game against the Germans. Italy are awaiting the results with baited breath, as their only tactical alternative is Thiago Motta, who is suspended against the Mannschaft.

The FIGC declared that they will publish the results of the exam today. If De Rossi is able to play, even if he isn't at 100 per cent, Coach Antonio Conte will certainly make use of him.

Otherwise he will have to find another solution, either by playing Stefano Sturaro in an atypical role or by changing formations to a 3-4-3.
