Daniele De Rossi is almost certainly out of Germany-Italy, as he missed training again this morning.

The Roma midfielder took a knock in the Last 16 win over Spain, and has been unable to train since.

The Azzurri doctor has admitted that “time is not on our side” to have the midfielder fit to face Jogi Löw’s side, and De Rossi once again missed training this morning.

There will be another session in the afternoon, but with the game taking place tomorrow night it now seems almost certain that the 32-year-old will miss out.

Stefano Sturaro is favourite to replace him, with Marco Parolo moving into the deep midfield role.

However, Tuttomercatoweb reports that Antonio Conte will leave any decision to the last minute, as he still hopes to have De Rossi back.
