There had been confidence the sale would be announced on July 7, the day pre-season training begins.

However, Sky Sport Italia now claim that has been postponed to July 15 because the paperwork is not yet ready.

There remains confidence that the deal will go through, especially after the appointment of Coach Vincenzo Montella this week.

Due to the exclusivity agreement signed, Milan could not have hired a new tactician without passing it by the potential new owners in China first.
