“I've been speaking with the directors of Atletico Madrid,” she said. “But not with Simeone. If he wanted to, he could speak directly with Mauro, because he has his number.

“I've been speaking with the directors of Atletico Madrid,” she said. “But not with Simeone. If he wanted to, he could speak directly with Mauro, because he has his number.
“I don't know if there have been any other contacts between the two of them. Mauro is back in training now. Normally a Coach only calls when everything [about a transfer] has already been defined.
“It's very unlikely that Mauro will leave Inter. He is the captain, everyone here loves him and we were able to renew the contract under the terms we wanted.
“Mauro is receiving many offers and I'm talking with the directors. Mauro and Simeone must surely have talked at some stage, as they crossed paths. It happened on a plane once, for instance, but they didn't talk about football.”
