President Enrico Preziosi reveals Genoa turned down offers for Tomas Rincon and “like” Empoli defender Federico Barba.
“There were two offers for Rincon, but he is too important for (new Coach Ivan) Juric,” Preziosi told Sky Sport Italia.
“So Rincon will stay and we’ll soon talk about a contract renewal.”
Pre-season training began today and Sebastien De Maio has gone to Anderlecht, so Barba is the first choice to replace the defender.

“We like Barba. If Empoli are prepared to let him go at our conditions, then good, otherwise we’ll take a different path.
