The Italian international suffered a cruciate ligament injury toward the end of last season, and today had his first day of workouts at Vinovo.
Principino will have routine check-ups in the coming weeks, with his return scheduled for late-October or early November.

However, Marchisio will not recover in time to attend a concert by pop singer Rihanna, who he is a big fan of, at Turin’s Pala Alpitour tonight.
“I am so sad I cannot make it to the show for medical reasons,” Marchisio wrote on Facebook as he sent a signed Bianconeri shirt to the star.
“I am sure it will be a great one and you will adore my Torinese who make me feel so special every time I enter the stadium.
“I promise I will come next time…”
