Milan are continuing their push for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, asking for either a loan or a €30m transfer.

The situation at Milan is rather complex right now, as the takeover by Chinese investors is not complete and until that happens they have few transfer funds available.

The sale of Carlos Bacca was meant to raise €30m, but the striker has turned down West Ham United, while interest remains from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

The sale of Carlos Bacca was meant to raise €30m, but the striker has turned down West Ham United, while interest remains from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

According to Sportitalia, the Rossoneri have set up a summit with Juventus next week to discuss the various options.

If the takeover is completed or Bacca is sold, then they’ll offer €30m to sign Italy Under-21 international defender Rugani.

If not, there is the option of taking him on loan, as Rugani is frustrated at the lack of playing time in Turin.

The arrival of Medhi Benatia from Bayern Munich yesterday will further limit his chances of getting on the field this season.

Juventus have been adamant they don’t want to sell Rugani, who is seen as an investment for the future, so a loan spell at Milan could be accepted.
