Torino have officially announced the signings of Roma’s Adem Ljajic and Iago Falque.

After a protracted transfer saga, the pair had their Granata medicals this morning, and have now been officially confirmed.

Ljajic has joined the club on a permanent basis, while former Juventus man Falque arrives on loan with a right of redemption.

“After discussions with our Coach [Sinisa Mihajlovic] we spared no effort to buy Ljajic from Roma,” President Urbano Cairo said in a statement on Torino’s official website.

“He was one of our first objectives, so we’re pleased to add him to Mihajlovic’s squad.”

Mihajlovic and Ljajic are both Serbian, and the attacking midfielder is looking forward to working under his compatriot again.

“I thank President Cairo and sporting director [Gianluca] Petrachi for everything they’ve done to bring me to Toro.

“I’m also happy because I’ll be meeting Mihajlovic, a quality Coach who has already been very important for my career.

“His always shown faith in me and used me consistently.”

Iago Falque also gave a brief statement.

“I thank President Cairo and everyone at Torino. I’m very happy. I can’t wait to start this new experience, I’m ready to but myself at the disposal of the Coach and my teammates and I hope I can make my contribution.

“In recent years as an opponent I’ve appreciated the warmth and passion of the Torino fans, now I’ll be playing in front of those fans and that’s the best, it gives you enthusiasm and really fires you up.”
