The player was apparently discussed with his agent Mino Raiola, who also represents Pogba, in one of the many summits with Juventus. A four-year contract has been offered, but there is Chelsea's competition to be beaten.

Among Juventus' numerous alternatives, should the Frenchman prove to be a dead end, there are Chelsea's Nemanja Matic, Zenit St Petersburg's Axel Witsel, Inter's Marcelo Brozovic, Porto's Hector Herrera, and Real Madrid's Kovacic.
