Napoli have a deal to sign Bologna's Amadou Diawara, but must first settle the issues of Mirko Valdifiori and Nikola Maksimovic with Torino.

The Partenopei successfully frog-leaped Roma in their efforts to pick up the Guinean midfielder, and are looking to offer the player a five-year contract starting from €1m per season.

However, the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that before moving they would like to settle the sale of Valdifiori, whom Diawara is meant to replace.

However, the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that before moving they would like to settle the sale of Valdifiori, whom Diawara is meant to replace.

Torino are interested in buying the Italian midfielder, but their offer of €4m doesn't match the Vesuviani's request of €6m.

Furthermore, Napoli are attempting to include Valdifiori in a deal to buy the Granata's central defender Maksimovic, currently valued at €25m. Napoli would then pay €19m cash plus the player, but Torino are reluctant to accept these terms.

This intricate situation is further complicated by the fact that Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly could be sold to Chelsea for €45m, which would make the signing of Maksimovic a necessity.

The clubs are currently playing a waiting game to see which move happens first, as it could unblock all the others.
