Milan €15m budget for midfielder

According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan have opened up a €15m budget to buy a new midfielder.

The decision was given the all-clear by both President Silvio Berlusconi's company Fininvest and Marco Fassone, who is acting as representative for the Chinese conglomerate.

The club is in the process of a takeover by Chinese investors, which should be completed in November.

Delays in negotiations have held up the transfer campaign so far this summer.

Sky Sport Italia claim the €15m budget is for a midfield reinforcement, but not necessarily current targets Jose Sosa or Milan Badelj.

CEO Adriano Galliani had requested extra funds today, as the €30m sale of Carlos Bacca to West Ham United has still not gone through.
