Sassuolo and Milan will reportedly meet today, as a deal for striker Alessandro Matri gets closer.
The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Neroverdi, with sporting director Giovanni Carnevali admitting he “could be useful”.
Today Sky is reporting that Carnevali will meet with Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani this afternoon in an attempt to close the deal.
There are still some final details to be worked out with Matri, as Sassuolo are offering a two-year contract while the player wants a three-year deal.
It’s not thought that will be an insurmountable obstacle, and Matri is expected to be a Neroverdi player in the coming days.
