Atalanta have extended their contract with talented 19-year-old midfielder Franck Kessie to June 2021.
Despite his tender age, Kessie is already a senior Ivory Coast international with five caps.
He had been under contract until June 2018, but extended that by another three years this evening.
Kessie first arrived in Italy for the Atalanta youth academy in January 2015 and had a loan spell at Cesena in Serie B last term, scoring four goals in 37 appearances.

“It’s important to know that the club believes in me, but now I have to repay all that confidence,” Kessie told the official Atalanta website.
“Gian Piero Gasperini gave me the opportunity to make my debut for the senior team, but I know full well there’s a long road ahead of me.
“Now I just have to focus on training and ensuring I am ready when the Coach calls me.”
