Amadou Diawara's transfer remains wrapped in uncertainty as Napoli cancelled his medicals and booked them elsewhere.

The Bologna midfielder remains at the margins of his squad after going on strike in an effort to force a transfer.

Napoli are interested in taking advantage of the situation, and may sign the player on a loan deal. The loan itself would cost €2m, and it would come with a mandatory option to buy at €13m.

CalcioNapoli24 claim that the transfer is imminent, but at the same time they report a rather confusing situation with regards to the player's medicals.

Apparently Diawara was booked in to have his exams today in a clinic in Rome, but they were cancelled at the last minute.

The reason, putatively, is that the midfielder is following a different medical program, with exams that have already partly taken place in a different location. The remainder of his medicals should happen in Naples today, though it's not certain exactly where.

Apparently Napoli are asking for a special, in-depth medical examination of the player before buying him, because of the long time Diawara spent off the pitch and the medical certificates he sent to Bologna to legitimise his strike.
