Marco Parolo is confident Lazio will face Juventus “without fear, as Simone Inzaghi is giving us a new team spirit.”

The Aquile made a strong start to the season with their 4-3 victory away to Atalanta, despite a chaotic summer.

“It’ll be a big game that will allow us to understand if we’re on the right track. We are highly motivated and can’t wait to face this challenge,” said midfielder Parolo in a Press conference.

“We drew a line under last season and started again with a new spirit thanks also to Coach Inzaghi. I saw many young players who wanted to listen and work hard.

“I was struck by Inzaghi’s charisma and we’re creating a great group here. We’ve got solid foundations and proved that against Atalanta, so we can build on this to get excellent results.

“Compared to last season we have the strong desire to stay solid at the back and always play to win. That’s what we did in Bergamo, albeit with a bit of a struggle. We have things to improve, but I think we’re on the right track, as this approach will be more entertaining for us and the fans.

“We lost some experienced players like Miroslav Klose, Antonio Candreva, Stefano Mauri and Abdoullay Konko, so the newcomers need time to grow, but I don’t think we are weaker.

“How far can Lazio go? It’s difficult to say now, so let’s discuss it again in two months.”

Lazio host Juventus this weekend and both teams are feeling confident.

“They are a strong side, so their players and results speak for themselves. We’ll need a more than perfect performance. We’ll give it our all and hope for a bit of luck too.

“You can make predictions in football, but nothing is impossible. We must face them without fear.”

Parolo was a regular for Italy at Euro 2016, so what did he learn from the giants like Gigi Buffon?

“I learned from the Juve players in the Italy squad that they never let go for a minute, not even in training. This is what creates that constant hunger for victory.”
