Jose Mauri could make his Italy Under-21s debut, as he’s named in Luigi Di Biagio’s squad to face Slovenia.

The Milan midfielder was born in Argentina, but qualifies for Italy due to his grandmother, and could win his first Azzurrini cap after playing at Under-17 level.

The European Championships qualification match will take place at Sassuolo’s Mapei Stadium on September 8, with Mauri’s Rossoneri teammate Alessio Romagnoli also included.
