Antonio Cassano reportedly skipped a meeting with Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero, as their feud continues.

The forward is persona non grata at Marassi, but is refusing the leave the club with another year remaining on his contract.

The Blucerchiati have made it clear he has no future in Genoa, omitting him from their squad for Serie A, leaving him off the club website and forcing him to change in a separate dressing room.

Now ItaSportPress is reporting that a meeting between Ferrero and Cassano this afternoon was cancelled after the Italian international declined the invitation.

Club lawyer Carlo Osti is therefore working to try and agree a contract termination, allowing Cassano to find another club and getting his €700,000 wages off the books.

Serie B sides Bari and Virtus Entella have been linked, but the former Roma man has repeatedly said he’ll stay at Samp whatever happens.
