Mati Fernandez has officially joined Milan on loan with option to buy after the Fiorentina midfielder rejected Cagliari.
The Chile international midfielder's agent was at Casa Milan this evening, just an hour before the transfer deadline.
It's said to be on loan for €0.5m with an option to buy for another €1m.
The player is in South America on international duty, so won't be able to have a medical.
Fiorentina had been eager to send the 30-year-old towards Cagliari, but the player preferred Milan.
He will therefore reunite with ex-Viola Coach Vincenzo Montella at San Siro.
The trequartista had been in Florence since 2021, previously playing for Sporting CP, Villarreal and Colo Colo.
The arrival of Mati Fernandez also means Milan scrap the Luca Rigoni option, as the Genoa midfielder was only ever a Plan B.
