Napoli still can't find a deal for the renewal of Lorenzo Insigne, even as everyone else will get new contracts.

The Neapolitan fantasista rose in prestige enormously last year, and he feels entitled to a raise in his €1.1m salary.

Unfortunately talks didn't really work out over the summer, and he is not in a very strong position right now, as his condition of form appears to be lagging behind that of his alternative Dries Mertens.

The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that even the most recent talks with president Aurelio De Laurentiis failed to lead to a resolution, with both parties entrenched in their positions.

This stands in stark contrast with the club's relationship with the other players, several of whom agreed to new terms in the same time-frame.

Among them Elseid Hysaj, Kalidou Koulibaly, Manolo Gabbiadini and Faouzi Ghoulam are all expected to sign new contracts this month.
