The England goalkeeper starts in today’s World Cup qualifier against Slovakia, just days after completing his loan move from Manchester City to Toro.

Hart becomes the first ever English shot-stopper to play in Serie A, but former Juve striker Rush has words of advice.

“As a goalkeeper, it will be all about his communication with his defence. In Italy, especially when I was there and I’m sure even now, people say, ‘You don’t let goals in’.

“The most important thing is defensive organisation and to do that he will have to speak Italian,” 1987-88 Juventus forward Rush told Tuttosport and The Mirror.

“I think it is a brave move for him. It is one where he wants to play and hopefully he will do OK. But it is a lot easier off the pitch nowadays as he will have people helping him.”

Like Manchester, there is a very passionate local derby in Turin.

“There are more Torino supporters than Juventus supporters in Turin itself. But in Rome and Italy, Juventus are the main team.

“It is an industrial city and will be different to what he is used to in the winter. I was lucky when I scored the winner against Torino they treat you really well. If he does well against Juventus I am sure they will love him, but it is not going to be easy.

“But I don’t like people who are happy being there for the sake of it. At Man City he had most probably become third choice. He wants to play and is England’s No.1 I think it will make him better for the experience.

“Since Gareth Bale went to Real Madrid he became a better player for Wales because of what he has learned and Joe Hart will be exactly the same.”
