Equally crucial is the matter of Donnarumma. In this case Milan have informally offered a raise from the current €160,000 yearly salary to €1m. Negotiations, however, will start in earnest when the player turns 18 next year, allowing him legally to sign a greater variety of contracts.

Real Madrid are known to be interested in the goalkeeping prodigy, but they will probably not be the only ones when the market window opens again.

Donnarumma is known to be a Milanista and is not expected to move, at least not to another Italian team, although one important factor will be the new ownership's relation with agent Mino Raiola, which is yet to be defined.
