Gianluca Lapadula may finally have his big opportunity as starter in Milan-Udinese.
The former Pescara striker was signed to replace Carlos Bacca, but he ended up as a bench-warmer after the Colombian decided to stay.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Lapadula will be given a big chance against Udinese as he'll start in the attacking trident.
With M'Baye Niang disqualified for the game, a spot in the attack has opened up, and the Italian is reportedly in pole to snatch it up.
Lapadula will be asked to play wide, which is not his natural role as he prefers a central striker's position. But with Bacca the firm starter for that spot, the 26-year-old will have to learn to adapt, or resign himself to many more games on the bench.
