Antonio Di Natale believes Roma should retire their No 10 shirt once the “beautiful and extraordinary” Francesco Totti stops playing.

Di Natale spent 12 years wearing the fabled jersey for Udinese until his departure at the end of last season, and he explained to La Gazzetta dello Sport just how much it meant to him.

“It’s a very heavy shirt,” he said.

“It’s worn by someone who has something extraordinary, off the cuff, and did important things.

“I have his jersey and I’m proud. Even in his case, the club will decide what to do with his No 10, but I wouldn’t give it to anybody.”
