Inter man in ‘pole’ for Milan role

Inter chief scout Massimo Mirabelli is reportedly in “pole position” for the role of Milan sporting director.

According to Tuttosport, Milan are also keeping tabs on Bologna’s Riccardo Bigon and former Roma and Fiorentina man Daniele Prade but “like Mirabelli the most”.

Mirabelli is well-known to Fassone as they worked together at Inter between 2014 and 2015.

The newspaper adds general manager Marco Fassone had “focused” his search on Juventus’ Fabio Paratici, only for the Bianconeri to ward them off.

However, Walter Sabatini of Roma and Atletico Madrid’s Andrea Berta are not being headhunted, despite reports initially claiming otherwise.
