Milan are widely reported to have chosen Inter scouting chief Massimiliano Mirabelli as their new director of sport.
The Rossoneri are in the process of a takeover by Chinese investors, which should be completed in November.
CEO Marco Fassone is already working to get the new board in place and his main task right now is finding a director of sport.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Fassone has chosen Mirabelli as the prime candidate.
Mirabelli is the chief of scouting at Milan’s city rivals Inter and Fassone knows him well from also working with the Nerazzurri.
