The Rossoneri Coach was appointed by the current Silvio Berlusconi regime, having been selected by joint-CEO Adriano Galliani.

Sino-Europe Sports is in the process of buying the club from Berlusconi, and it was feared they could look to appoint their own tactician.

However, Corriere dello Sport is reporting this morning that the Chinese consortium have faith in Montella, and consider him to be untouchable.
