Furthermore, La Repubblica has reported that the chief scout was handed a four-month ban by FIGC in 2011 as sporting director of Cosenza for “for having prepared and filed a fake contract worth €67,193.13 for the player [Fabio] Ceccarelli, designed to conceal the real economic agreement, the greater figure of €186,233, related to seasons between 2009 and 2012”.

The Calabrian team were also docked a point in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione, while Ceccarelli was suspended from playing for a month.
