Jose Callejon is enjoying his unusual Capocannoniere status and hailed Napoli teammate Arek Milik.

A 3-1 victory over Bologna took the Partenopei temporarily to the top of the Serie A table.

“It was a difficult game after our efforts in Kiev. Bologna were in good shape and have dangerous players,” Callejon told Mediaset Premium.

“In the second half we secured the three points and that’s what counts.”

The Spaniard always played second fiddle to the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens, but is the current Serie A top scorer with four goals.

“I always try to work for the team, then if goals arrive for me too, that’s fantastic.”

Poland international Milik came off the bench to bag a brace, including one with his first touch, taking his tally to six goals this season in all competition.

“Milik is proving his strength and we need to make the most of him by giving him confidence.”
