Sarri fumed at referee Antonio Damato’s failure to award Napoli two penalties following a Lucas Ocampos handball and foul on Arkadiusz Milik, and Hamsik shared his Coach’s frustrations, although he was keen to focus on the positives.

“The penalties? In two incidents, at least one had to be signalled,” the midfielder told Premium Sport.

“Genoa were aggressive and had a few chances, but I saw a great Napoli.

“We worked hard and fought physically but also showed quality. We’re strong, you can see our results and the performances we’re giving.

“We try to play our football and see what happens. We’re only thinking about playing and not discussing the referee’s errors.

“Higuain? His departure was a blow, but we’re a team and united in search of success.

“Everyone feels important here. The Scudetto? I think this League will be fought more than last season.”
